Titanium Valves

The main advantages of Titanium over other metals lie in the high quality of its mechanical, physical, and chemical properties. Due to its great hardness, corrosion resistance, and lightness, titanium is especially effective in industrial applications where working conditions are extreme, even with excessively high and low temperatures. In fact, its hardness is comparable to that of diamond (6 on the Mohs scale).

Titanium is so resistant that it can withstand diluted sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, most organic acids, gas solutions, and chlorine chloride, making it an excellent choice as a material for use in the chemical industries.

CEXCO is present in industries with demanding production processes, providing valves with parts, or entirely, made of Titanium.

Product description:

  • INOXVALVE GN LUG type DN-600 knife gate valve entirely in Titanium ASTM B367 C-2 and ASTM B348 Gr2 (body, gate, stem, and seat ring). The valve has been equipped with a PEEK sealing ring to guarantee leakage class according to MSS SP-81-2001 standard. PEEK is a high-performance thermoplastic used in sectors ranging from nuclear to aerospace. This valve, despite its large diameter, is designed to operate at pressures of 6 bar.
  • For this project, “through-conduit knife gate” valves have also been manufactured in 254 SMO material, with 254 SMO being an austenitic stainless steel with high molybdenum, chromium, and nickel content. This composition gives it high resistance to corrosion and oxidation.

Quality control over materials, the use of correct manufacturing tools, and having our own foundry integrated into the production process are 3 fundamental points that guarantee optimal quality in industrial products.
